         As a learner of English as a second language, one of the difficulties I faced is finding the materials that improve my language academically especially in the primary level. After years from studying and today as a teacher for English language learner, I found a great resource to improve the student’s literacy and develop their words bank. I bring for yours as teachers, parents, and students of English language a great valuable source that helps in improving many skills in English language, such as writing and reading. It is a very useful source for the learner because it supports many types of learning like visual and aural learning and skills like writing and reading at the same time.

       It is the StoryLineOnline.net website. This is the website I wished I had known about a long time ago. Storylineonline.net is available for 24 hours for children, parents, and teachers to go over hundreds of reading materials, which provided them with an audio record for each story there. It is a great tool for the learner to improve their communication, reading, and writing skills.

       In StoryLineOnline a teacher might support her/his lesson with activities that support the student's comprehension and fluency in English. As in:

-       The CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.3.3: Use knowledge of language and its conventions when writing, speaking, reading, or listening. So, the teacher will be able to introduce the language for those who lack the language background information in different ways, such as listing to a short story.

-       Additionally, the website supports the CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.3.4: Determine or clarify the meaning of an unknown and multiple-meaning word and phrases based on grade 3 reading and content, choosing flexibly from a range of strategies. For example, a teacher might face difficulty in clarifying the meanings of the words for ELLs but the story there are connected with photos which helps in improving the student's comprehension.

      In order to use it, you would need to go to Storylineonline.net and starts looking for the topic you or your students are interested in and enjoy an enormous of reading materials. Also, it is recommended because it provides learners and parents who lack the direct communication with the native speakers of English with many stories and a record of it.

       StoryLineOnline is a unique tool that I would recommend for ELLs teachers, parents, and the learners themselves.
